Osteitis pubis » Follow-up treatment
Post surgical treatment after an inflammation of the pubic joint
The post surgical treatment of the patient after an inflammation of the pubic joint follows strict guidelines. Completed wound healing is followed by a lymphatic drainage and an intensive individualised follow-up physiotherapy treatment for a period of about 3 weeks
After the surgery, athletic activity can be resumed after 8 weeks, taking into account the extent of the treatments. An untreated osteitis pubis (OP) spontaneously heals after approximately 12 months.
